On Monday 10th May 2010 it was confirmed that IT Tralee would receive funding under the Department of Foreign Affairs "Communicating Europe Initiative". This Initiative provides funding for an EU project to be run in the next academic year with ITT and a number of secondary schools in Kerry. The project entitled 'My EU Life' will involve second level students in transitional year (TY)who will submit projects/art/essays/poetry on the impact the EU has on everyday life in Ireland. The schools involved will be visited by some of our international students as well as our EU Schools Liaison Team. Since 2003 ITT has organised an annual student led EU Debate which has been a big success.
